Common questions
How do I create a student pass?
From the HallStride teacher workflow, search for the student, select the correct student, choose an available destination, and start the pass. HallStride applies the configured campus rules before the pass begins.
Why can't I start a pass for a student?
A pass may be blocked by a campus rule such as a destination capacity limit, a daily student limit, or another active-pass restriction. Review the message shown by HallStride or contact a campus administrator if the rule appears incorrect.
Where can I see students who are currently out?
Teachers can use their active-pass area for passes they issued. Authorized staff can use Hall Monitor for the campus-wide active view.
How do I end a pass?
End the pass when the student returns using the active-pass control. Authorized Hall Monitor users can also end active passes from Hall Monitor.
How do I find an older pass?
Open Pass History and use the available student, destination, date, and time filters to narrow the records.
What can administrators manage?
Depending on their HallStride role and the features enabled for the campus, administrators can manage students, staff, school settings, pass rules, history, analytics, substitute workflows, and login activity.
What is Substitute Mode?
Substitute Mode supports temporary classroom coverage so staff can issue passes for the classroom they are covering while HallStride keeps the substitute-session context attached to that activity.
How do I change my password?
Use My Account inside HallStride to access the password-change option. If you cannot sign in, contact your campus HallStride administrator or HallStride support.
Who should I contact about incorrect student or staff information?
Start with your campus HallStride administrator because student and staff records are managed at the school level. For a system issue, contact HallStride support.
Email hallstridepro@gmail.com with your school name, the page you were using, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Avoid sending unnecessary student information in a support email.
