Privacy

HallStride-specific privacy information for a system that stores student and pass activity.

This policy explains how HallStride handles account, student, pass, school, and technical information used to provide and protect the service.

Effective: August 8, 2026.
This policy describes HallStride's current privacy practices and may be updated as the service evolves.

Overview

HallStride is a school hall-pass and student-movement platform. Because the service is used to create and manage student passes, it can process student-identifying information and records of student movement. This Privacy Policy explains the general categories of information used by HallStride and the purposes for which that information is used.

Schools and districts control the student and staff information they provide to HallStride and designate the personnel authorized to use the service within their organization.

Information HallStride may process

Account and staff information

HallStride may store staff names, usernames or email addresses, roles, school associations, password-related authentication data handled by the application, account status, and login activity needed to operate staff access.

Student information

HallStride may store student roster information provided by a school, such as student name, student identifier, grade, status, and other roster fields the school chooses to maintain in the system.

Pass activity

HallStride may store pass records such as the student, issuing staff member, destination, start time, end time, elapsed time, status, and substitute-session context. These records support active monitoring, history, filtering, analytics, and campus follow-up.

Access and roles

HallStride uses role-based access controls for administrators, teachers, and hall monitors. Access to information and features is limited according to each user's authorized role, and school administrators manage staff accounts and campus permissions.

Sharing and service providers

HallStride may use trusted service providers to support hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, backups, monitoring, security, and other functions necessary to operate the service. Information is shared only as needed to provide, maintain, and protect HallStride services.

HallStride does not sell student personal information or use student information for targeted advertising. Student information is used to provide and support HallStride's school-management functionality.

Retention and deletion

HallStride retains information as needed to provide the service, support school operations, maintain security and reliability, and meet applicable contractual or legal requirements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the needs of the school or district using the service.

Security

HallStride uses encrypted HTTPS connections, secure session protections, role-based access controls, school-level data scoping, restricted administrative access, and protected production credentials to help safeguard information within the service.

Suspected unauthorized access or security concerns can be reported to HallStride using the contact information below.
